Instructors

Talented, creative and caring instructors are the backbone of Wilson School of Dance.

Our inspiring teachers know how important it is to give individual attention to each student at all levels, whether they are a new beginner or an experienced dancer pursuing dance in college or as a career. The teachers here amazingly have over 90 years of collective teaching experience!

Our teachers love kids and have a passion for sharing their love of dance with each student, from beginners to advanced. Their dedication and passion for teaching are what parents and students comment most on and remember long after the classes are over. They fill the dance rooms with kindness, support, and encouragement. It’s this positive impact that helps students develop confidence and build a healthy lifestyle, plus a love for dance they can enjoy through college and beyond.

Director Juanita Wilson

Director Juanita Wilson continues with her passion for teaching everyone, from the little Princess Ballet students to the advanced dancers. The numbers barely seem real but when we got to calculating, it’s true: Juanita has taught over 18,000 students and choreographed over 1200 dances! She leads and mentors our team of quality instructors.

The kids love Ms. Lynn's (Tap, Jazz) discipline and warmth, as she has been with us for 25 years. She consistently gives of herself to make sure students understand the steps and feel successful. Her love of people and passion for dance shine!

Ms. Joely comes from a stellar dance background in LA. She is a UVA student minoring in dance (princess ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater).
